With supporting we simply mean being interested and following the SAFE in SCHOOLS projects in the school, whether you do this “live” or by watching video clips, liking the Facebook posts or just by asking your children, cousins, neighbours, etc. about it. "Hey, I heard you are a great breakdancer! What is happening in that SAFE program in your school?" We hope to get the support from the whole Triangle of Upbringing; all members of the school community, all school staff, parents, other family members, neighbours and organizations, businesses in the neighbourhood.
SAFE in SCHOOLS encourages all SAFE players to also practise at home and around the neighbourhood. Parents will notice the direct link between their SAFE practise and accomplishments in other areas like doing their homework and developing general life skills. Neighbourhoods will change because of the positive impact SAFE players have.
Some of the proven benefits of the Street Arts are:
*They improve concentration, coordination, balance, timing, perseverance, self-esteem, peer-teaching and much more.
*They eliminate bullying, prevent drug use and reduce dropout rates.
*They increase significantly the chance on a smile on your child’s face at the breakfast table.
