SAFE in SCHOOLS offers various options for leadership programs, often with cross-curricular teaching possibilities.
What is unique about our approach is that we aim to inspire all students of each school to practise regularly one or more Street Arts they 1. are already passionate about or 2. just really enjoy doing (without it being a passion) or 3. choose to start developing, because they fell a little bit "in love" with it during the introduction sessions. In other words, they choose an activity (or more) that will almost always re-create them, no matter what they are going through in "life in general" and on this particular day.
Our programs aim to bring out the best in every student of the school, creating Positive Peer Cultures and ultimately a Positive School Climate. They also aim at enforcing the quality of everybody's daily life outside of school.
The SAFE AREA Manual is designed to develop Street Arts from the beginning with Self-Esteem, Focus and Respect. The students' experience in developing these human functions can easily be used in other motivational or remedial approaches already in place in the school. The program can also be integrated in Projet-based Learning.
