Local sponsors will have their logo/website on the SAFE AREA Poster that will hang on the wall of each SAFE playshop, on the SAFE AREA Manual each SAFE player will receive (paper version or downloads for i-pads and i-phones), on all the video clips, in the school journal, on the Facebook page, etc. They will be “seen & appreciated” in all the households of the community.
Provincial/national sponsors will have their logo/website on all posters, manuals, videoclips, Facebook pages, etc. of all schools, community centers and youth organizations who adapt the program. They will reach many, many households.
SAFE in SCHOOLS works with symbols. On the poster we use the infinite figure 8 as a symbol for the interdependency between our human functions, like our capacity to RESPECT, to FOCUS and to develop a good self-esteem, what we have named – in young people’s jargon - to FEEL GÒÒÒD. Students in SAFE sessions have the direct experience that interdependency works. We are on our best in playing ball, games, music, dance, anything, if we "warm up" these human functions and sustain their important presence.
With the help of the Manual, we also inspire each student to become aware of the interdependency between ourselves and the other students in our playshops and between ourselves and our direct environment; the type of space, the quality of the material, the air, the light, the music, etc.
The triangle of the Triangle of Upbringing is another symbol for interdependency. We believe that partnerships between , families, schools and community organizations create powerful win-win-win situations on various levels; sense of belonging, safety in and around school (community center/any organization), sharing of goods and services, financial arrangements for the community's good and, above all, developing young people into wonderful & powerful members of their family, their neighborhood and the community at large.
SAFE in SCHOOLS believes that interdependency is an important concept to be understood and considered for the future of our children. Therefore we partner with sponsors who encourage healthy life styles, innovative education, sustainable living, community based projects and other initiatives that contribute to a better neighbourhood or a better world.
If you run a local business or organization and want to support the SAFE program in your local school, community center or other youth organization, but so far you have never given interdependency much thought, we still invite you to join us. Just take one of the simple first steps to become sustainable, like starting a recycling/waste reduction program. This is so easy to do! You can also find inspiration in the mission statements of our provincial/national sponsors and check out some of the sustainable initiatives of other local SAFE sponsors to try out in your own business or organization.
As sponsors you will be a full member of the SAFE community. You will be able to follow the unfolding of each program through video clips, school journals, newsletters, Facebook pages, etc. Your name will be also on the invitations for special events. Every program offers Street Arts For Everybody... the SAFE program will be an ongoing inspiration for spectacular video clips and (fundraiser or not) `live`shows.
